There is something so timeless and classic about ticking fabric. I love how it fits with so many decor styles. It comes in a variety of colors nowadays, but I like to sew with the blue or red.
These are large 20x20” pillows I sewed up in blue ticking for a customer.
They look so good with the white pillows.
This is a smaller version with .…. a ruffle of course!
A wide raw-edged shabby ruffle, why not! Great for tucking in with a bunch of pillows, or propping on a chair.
I’ll leave you with my red ticking pillow on my old rocker outside on the porch!
How about you, do you decorate with ticking?

These are absolutely beautiful - I just love the ruffles. I'm following you on Linky now . . .
I love the ruffles! So beautiful! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Love the pillows. I have some vintage blue ticking I found in a barn and plan on using it for pillows. Your pillows are wonderful, thanks for sharing your photo's. Hugs Mary
I love ticking and love the little ones you sent me. I was lucky enough to pull a great big blue and white stripe ticking pillow off the back of an old flea market truck. It was a feather pillow and would have been great if I had known if the feathers were clean. I just couldn't keep the feathers in, so I got rid of all of them, cleaned the pillow case and restuffed it with another big pillow. (how many times did I just say pillow in this paragraph) LOL
Hey Tracey I have to laugh because I once picked up a couch and love seat at a furniture store, I think back when there was a Stacy's furniture around and the couches were all blue ticking. Loved them! No one else, not even my friends ever liked those couches. They just simply did not like the simplicity and timelessness of the fabric. I knew I was right when it came to those couches. I look at those pillows and think of my beloved couch, it came with pillows that looked just like yours minus the ruffles. Those are adorable by the way.
...oh how I love your cushions!...ticking is still after all these years my favorite!
I love ticking! Thanks for linking up to Home and Family Friday!

Your ticking pillows are beautiful. I love this fabric too. I have an old feather pillow I used to sleep on when I was a little girl. It was made by my grandma from ticking and feathers they'd had in a feather bed. They used to reuse everything. That fabric lasts!!
Blessings,
Marcia
These are great! I'm totally digging the raw edged ruffles now too and actually mixing them into a project I'm working on. Ticking is timeless, beautiful job!

Love those! Yes, I have red ticking pillows on my living room couch right now.
Hi there Tracey,
I LOVE ticking and always have. It never gets old to me. In fact, I have had a tough time making up my mind regarding a patterned fabric for my window treatments and decided to install Roman/hobnail black-and-white ticking shades inside every window in my house! I will later mix with curtains, but for now the ticking solved my dilemma. It is timeless and suits everything! If I decide not to do a further thing with my windows, I love them just the way they are with 'rich' ticking...
