A NEW FAVOURITE THING

I just couldn't wait to show you one of my "new" favourite things! I popped into my favourite local thrift store this week and there was this buggy waiting just for me. I wavered for all of two minutes as the price tag was a little high for my junking mindset, then I snapped her up!! I knew I would regret it forever if I didn't bring this beauty home. I have been looking for her forever!

She has been well loved...

and a tad neglected...

I envisage my buggy spilling over with flowers in the summer, but I couldn't do that to her just yet. A shabby quilt and cosy knitted blanket will do just fine.

For now I am happy just to admire her and push her back and forth on her springy wheels, imagining what stories she could tell from her past.

Anyone else have a favourite buggy?

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS........

Hi, since you don't know me that well yet, I thought I'd show you a couple of my favorite things. To start with I have some photos of some of my favorite vintage toys to show you- I just love them!

These are my yummy vintage wooden blocks, aren't they cute!

And this is an old toy instrument, it makes a tinkly sound like a small tambourine when you shake it.

And here they are altogether on their little shelf! I love how cheery the clown's face is, just makes you want to smile:-)

MY VERY FIRST POST......

Well this is my very first blog! I've had so much fun visiting all your wonderful blogs I just had to join in! Today it's cold and wet again here on the west coast, but we've had blissful spring weather the past week so I wanted to share some of my early spring gardening with you, the hope of things to come!

I love my old sap bucket! I planted a bunch of spring bulbs and stuck in my old trowel just 'cos I thought it looked good!

On my front porch, a cheery welcome with cherry blossoms. Happy spring!
